Finn Classes Smokers (Special Crspdt. N.Z PA.) LONDON, July 27. Cigar-smoking is no longer a status symbol in Britain, according to a survey by a leading tobacco firm. It reports that 62 in every 100 regular cigar smokers are skilled or unskilled workers. The firm estimates, that more than nine million men—about 47 in every 100—smoke cigars occasionally or regularly. Last year Britons bought 588 million cigars which worked out at 1,4 cigars for every man. However. Danes smoke an average of 295 each, the Dutch 182, and the Americans 56.
