WOMEN USE PILL MORE
(N.Z Press Assn.—Copyright) LONDON, July 27 Britain’s Family Planning Association yesterday reported a big jump in the number of women using the oral contraceptive pill. The number of F.P.A. members using the pill last year was 44.061, more than treble the 1963 figure of 13,670. The association’s annual report says: “The efficacy and convenience of these preparations is now accepted.”
It adds: “But in the association’s opinion the time has not yet come when they should be given without careful examination of the patient and regular supervision . . .”
