McDougall To Defend
(N.Z. Press Association) GISBORNE, July 23. E. J. McDougall will defend his North Island stroke-play golf title at Gisborne, on July 31 and August 1. He is one of 72 entrants. The event has a special importance this year as it will be a trial for places in the team to play Australia in a Morpeth Cup fixture later this year. Noted entrants include B. T. Boys (Waikato), T. S. Leach (Taupo), S. G. Jones (Hastings), G. Horne (Wellington), B. Zezich (Auckland), and J. D. Durry (Paraparaumu).
