Soccer Plan In Doubt
Three of the six Auckland soccer clubs who proposed to establish a semi-professional league have withdrawn their support, at least for the present. The three are Eastern Suburbs, Mt. Wellington and Blockhouse Bay. However, the either three— North Shore, Ponsonby and Lynndale—have decided to go nhead with their investigations. It is still suggested (hat an experimental Sunday league i will be started this season, s and the semi-professional | 'eague next year. Although i they have withdrawn, Eastern Suburbs is still interested in playing in the Sunday league and Mt. Wellington in the semi-professional league, but as an amateur club.
