Queenstown Ice Rink Begun

(N Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL, July 20. Queenstown lee Rink, Ltd., has issued a prospectus for the construction of a permanent’ ice skating rink in the Tourist Department park in Queenstown. The prospectus is for the issue of 30.000 10s ordinary shares, applications for which will be received by the secretary, Messrs Cbwan and Morton, public accountants, Rees street, Queenstown. The clearing of the site for the laying of the foundation of the rink has been started by the Tourist Department at Government expense. The company will promote and run the outdoor rink with a full refrigerating plant for seven, or eighf months of the year to provide regular skating facilities for winter visitor to Queenstown. The cost to the* Government, for clearing, foundations and fencing, will be about £14,000. The company has obtained a £16,000 loan from the State Advances Cor- ■ poration. Minimum application is for 50 shares. The cost of the venture is estimated at £49,000. The refrigerating plant and machinery will cost £17,500, public

and administration buildings £7625, machine room £4OOO. equipment and working capital £5875, and the site development £14.000.
