OFF-STREET PARKING

Provision For Flats The present provision for off-street car parking in the council's code of ordinances was proving inadequate and street space was being used, the town-planning committee said in its report to the Christchurch City Council last evening. The council agreed to amend one ordinance so that in an apartment house or building containing service flats accommodation should be in the proportion of not less than one car to each household the building is designed to accommodate.
