Allied Mills Offer (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) MELBOURNE, July 14. Allied Mills, Ltd., flour miller, baker and margarine maker, has made a £l.3m take-over bid for Maize Products Pty, Ltd-. Footscray, Australia's largest glucose maker. Tams of the offer are 20s cash plus one Allied Mills share for each of the 684,335 20s fully paid Maize Products shares and 14s cash and one Allied Mills share for each of the 14s paid shares in.the company. The cash part of the offer involves £717,058. The number of Allied Mills shares involved is 732,368 worth £649,977 at today’s market price of 17s 9d for Allied Mill?.’ The offer has been recommended by the directors of Maize Products. Maize Products makes glucose and starch and has a large export market for gluten, widely used as a protein additive in bread baking. Macßobertson (Australia), Ltd., holds 25.31 per cent of the issued capital.
