Six Counts Of Corruption (N.Z. Frets Association) WELLINGTON, July 5. 1 The hearing of six charges against Selwyn Peter Bussell, assistant chief architect to the Wellington Education Board, alleging that he corruptly agreed to accept rewards totalling £lOO5 began today in the Magistrate’s Court at Wellington. The charges allege that Bussell accepted the rewards from Philip Randal Jackson, a private architect for doing work that Jackson himself had been commissioned to do for the Education Board. The case is being heard before Mr J. A. Wicks. S.M. Mr W. R. Birks is prosecuting and Mr W. V. Gazeley appears for Bussell. Sixteen witnesses are being called.
