Approval By Cabinet (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. July 5. The Cabinet has approved the terms of a most-favoured nation agreement between New Zealand and Poland. The agreement has yet to be ratified by the Executive Council. Announcing this tonight, the Acting Prime Minister (Mr Marshall) said the authority for the agreement would be sought from the Executive Council on Wednesday. “The signing of the treaty will take place immediately afterwards,” he said. A three-man delegation from the Polish Ministry of Foreign Trade has been in Wellington sinc» June 30. In a statement at the end of last month. Mr Marshall said under the agreement. Polish goods entering New Zealand would receive most-favoured-nation tariff treatment. He said New Zealand, in return, would expect to receive favourable consideration from Polish State purchasing organisations—consideration as favourable as that accorded any other country.
