Control Centre Underground

(N.Z Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 2. The A’r Department has agreed to the use of its wartitae concrete underground bunker in Epsom as a civil defence control headquarters for the Auckland sub-region. The underground building is in the grounds of Auckland Teachers’ College It was a joint operations centre during the Second World War. The bunker has two decks and about 40 rooms.
