Little Change For Lamb (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 2. A continuation of lighter supplies of beef at high prices on Smithfield Market, London, brought buyers’ resistance this week, and trading proceeded slowly, according to the Meat Board market information service. There was a moderate inquiry for New Zealand lamb, with little change in quotations. There was a very slow inquiry for New Zealand mutton but some indications of steadier prices. Hoggets and wethers were in short supply at nominal quotations. Hoggets were 21d a lb, and wethers 17d to 18d a lb. There were plentiful supplies of ewes at slightly lower prices of lljd to 12d a lb. There was a small quantity of New Zealand G.A.Q. Ox hinds at 34d a lb and fores at 22d a lb. Quotations for New Zealand lamb were:—
