Geological Maps
Hamilton City is the first area to be covered by a new “industrial series” of geological maps launched by the New Zealand Geological Survey. The rapidity of modern city and industrial development is producing a need for more detailed geological information. For instance, the rapid spread of housing and of commercial building de mands information regarding the stability of building foundations, of clifftop sites, and of steep sections.
