NO PARACHUTE
A husky Thai Air Force parachute instructor was rec ’’ering in hospital todayafter surviving a 1200 ft plunge when his parachute failed to open. Sergeant-Major Suwan Ongart attributed his survival to the powers of a Buddha amulet he has worn since childhood.—Bangkok, July 2.
