For Yaldhurst

The former champion Australian pacer, Ribands, a winner in his own country and also New Zealand and America, will do stud duty in Canterbury in the spring.

Ribands’s owner, Mr F. P. Kellaway, has been in New Zealand for the last week and has aranged to lease the horse to Roydon Lodge Stud, Ltd., Yaldhurst.

Ribands, a son of Lawn Derby, took a mile record of Imin 58 7-10 sec at Harold Park.

For a time he held the New Zealand and Australian record of 3min 21 3-ssec for 13 furlongs.

Ribands was moderately successful at the stud in Australia, but he lacked opportunities.
