GYMNASTICS REPORT
The consolidation made in the last year was mentioned in his report by the retiring president of the Canterbury Gymnastic Association (Mr K. O. Plunkett) at the annual general meeting. Mr Plunkett also dwelt on the improved standard and increased interest in the sport in Canterbury and the rest of the South Island. This year's South Island championships are being held in Christchurch. at Cowles Stadium. Officers elected were patron. Mr P. J. Skellerup. vice-patrons, Messrs D. Marsh and L. Caughlan: president, Mr F. Carter: immediate past president. Mr K. O. Plunkett: vice presidents, Messrs I. Clark and M. Head; secretary, Mr T. S. Coulson: treasurer. Mr K. O. Plunkett: auditor. Mrs M. Ellis; medical officer. Dr. M. Wells; manage ment committee. Mrs B. Thomas Messrs I McCaughan E. Tombling. R Buchanan, R iFuller, and B Duncan.
