SPRINGBOK GAMES

Later Time For Telecasts f.V Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. June 4. Delayed telecasts of the South Africa Rugby tests this year would be shown on all television channels at 5.30 p.m. the next day, the N.Z.B.C.’s Director-General (Mr G. FI. Stringer) announced today. Mr Stringer said this was a compromise designed to accommodate the Sunday activities of most New Zealanders. “Originally we thought that a playing at 4.30 p.m., the usual time for showing international sports, would reach a maximum audience, but subsequent discussions have indicated that a later placement would suit most people,” Mr Stringer said.
