DIV. LIFTED BY BALLINS

Satisfactory Half-year Interim dividend of Ballins Industries. Christchurch, has been lifted from 3 per cent to 4 per cent, directors announced yesterday. It is payable on Julv 30, ex dividend July 17. They say profits for the year to March 31 have been satisfactorily maintained and have fulfilled their expectations. If current trading conditions continue they expect to be able to recommend a final 6 per cent dividend.

This would make 10 per cent for the year, against 9 per cent for the year to September 30 last. Shares issued by Ballins in the recent take-over of Ballins Hotels do not qualify for this dividend, but will take part in the final dividend to be paid next January. Con. Plastics Dividend Up (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 4. A final dividend of 9 per cent,- making 14 per cent for the year, is recommended by Consolidated Plastic Industries, Auckland, according to the New Zealand Stock Exchange. This compares with 12| per cent paid last year. Ex dividend date is July 12. Group profit for the year, before audit, is £220,000. against £165,573 last year, but takes in eight months profit from J. Yock and Company.
