WAISDERIISG STOCK

Watch On Main Road Urged

Concern at the frequency with which stock strayed on to the Main North road near the Waimakariri bridge was expressed by Mr J. A. Fraser at a meeting of the Christchurch Metropolitan Road Safety Committee. Mr Fraser said a serious accident was caused some months ago when a motorist ran into stock on the stretch of road. Three times in the last week he had noticed cows on the roadside. The committee decided to ask the Waimairi County Council to have its ranger watch the area.
