Dispute At Cables

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 27. Boilermakers employed at William Cable and Company's Kalwharawhara works stopped work today. The stoppage is believed to be over a pay dispute. The secretary of the Wellington Boilermakers’ Union (Mr T. Scrimshaw) said tonight he was not prepared to comment on the dispute. He said he was against publicity for industrial stoppages.

The company’s general manager, Mr D. Budge, was not available for comment.
