Metal Goods Exports

WELLINGTON, May 25.

Exports of metal products, including electrical equipment and machinery, have reached a record level for 1964-65 with three months of the year still to go, the Manufacturers’ Federation said today. In the nine months to the end of March, these exports earned £1,214,000, within a few hundred pounds of the 1963-64 figure and 50 per cent more than the 1962-63 figure. Total exports of manufactured goods from New Zealand in the nine months, earned £12,500,000, compared with £9,900,000 last year.
