30 Loose Boxes Planned
Thirty loose boxes and feed and harness rooms to accommodate visiting horses will be erected at Riccarton shortly. A tender has been accepted for the construction of the boxes, which should be ready for the Grand National meeting in August. Long-range plans include 100 such boxes and an accommodation house. Another change on the course in preparation for the Grand National meeting is the replacement of the post and rails steeplechase fence with a brush.
