"Heading for a record." said Mr V. R. Smith, when reporting ticket sales of the Blackpool v. Sheffield United soccer match at English Park next Saturday, to the Canterbury Football As sociation management commit tee last evening.
Tickets will be on sale for the rest of the week at the Can terbury Sports Depot, and at English Park on Saturday from 9 a.m.
Mr Smith said that was done for the game with Tom Finney’s side in 1961. People were able to buy tickets early and go straight through—to the best positions—as soon as they arrived.
A special area for children has been set aside in the southwest corner of the embankment
