A lawyer who caught a cold while waiting for his automobile club to send a break-down van to repair his car has won 460 dollars damages in Court The lawyer, Samuel Field, was returning from the country with his family last New Year’s Day when his car had a puncture. He telephoned the Automobile Club of New York and was told help would arrive in 30 minutes. Mr Field sent his wife and children home in a taxi and waited for the repair van. He said he had to wait three and a half hours and suffered a respiratory ailment which kept him away from work for a fortnight.
