RECORDED MUSIC SOCIETY
The president of the Christchurch Recorded Music Society (Mr L. Mcllroy) said in his report at the annual meeting last evening that, on the whole, the society’s group functions had been more than successful. The main recitals had been outstanding, and his only regret was that they had not been better attended. Mr Mcllroj’ urged the present members to help to increase the society’s membership. Officers elected were: patrons. Messrs J. Matteucci and A. Nettleton; president, Mr L. Mcllroy: vice-presidents, Messrs B. Culkin and E. N. Higgens and Miss E, Byrne; honorary vice-presidents, Messrs L. F. de Berry, E. R. Field-Dodgson, L. Packer, V. R. Hill, K. Newson, J. Hamilton. and W. R. Hawkey: secretary, Mr E. N. Higgins: treasurer, Miss E. Byrne: programme organiser, Mr L. McIlroy: committee, Mesdames M Hastings. F. Jordan. R. Messer. S. Tuck and J. Freeman. Miss J. Eddy, and Messrs S. Tuck and F. W. Berwick: social committee Mesdames S. Wade, M. P. Watt and L. Grimwood. Misses P. Glass and M. Kerr, and Mr S. Wade; auditor, W. D. Goode.
