Applications are invited for the Joint Appointment of SENIOR LECTURER IN PSYCHOLOGICAL MEDICINE to the University, and SENIOR PSYCHIATRIC SPECIALIST to the Hospital Board. Candidates must have a registerable medical qualification and must either:— (a) Hold a higher qualification in psychiatry, or equivalent, have been qualified for not less than 10 years, and have had not less than five years' practical experience in psychiatry, or (b) Have been qualified for not less than 15 years and have had not less than eight years’ practice in psychiatry. The duties of the appointment, under the Professor of Psychological Medicine, includes participation in an extensive <3OO hours) undergraduate teaching programme and clinical work in the setting of a general teaching hospital with in-patient and outpatient units. Research interests will be encouraged. The salary scale will be £2BOO-£3450 per annum, the commencing rate to be determined in accordance with the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant.
