FAMILY PLANNING
Two Films Shown Two films entitled “Human Growth” and “Human Heredity” were shown at the annual meeting of the Christchurch branch of the New Zealand Family Planning Association, held last night. There had again been a satisfactory increase in membership, two new life members bringing the number up to 114, with 180 ordinary financial members, said the president (Mrs C. E. Stanley) in her annual report. In the 64 sessions held by the Family Planning Clinic, 654 patients had attended, 145 for the first time.
The following officers were elected:—Patron, Mrs G. Manning: president, Mrs C. E. Stanley; vice-presidents, Mesdames J. Lunn, R. Plumridge, H. Wily, J. Chaston, P. Giddens, M. Rodger; deputy Dominion president, Mrs P. Zeff; secretary, Mrs O. M. Thomas; treasurer, Mrs B. Chaston; committee, Mesdames J. Brook, J. Eggleston, S. Gilroy, J. Heaps, M. Newman, M. Mace, D. J. McCahon, E. D. Mclvor, J. Southern, M. C Wright. G. Turner, M. Hopkins: delegate from Mothers' Union representing Young Wives’ Group, Mrs B. A. W. Becket: medical adviser, Dr. H. McGill.
