BUTTER PRICE
Farmers Fear For Future (N.Z. Press Association) N. PLYMOUTH, April 28. The present reduction in the price of New Zealand butter in Britain from 350 s a cwt. to 3425, was not serious, but it could be only the beginning, said the Dominion president of Federated Fanners (Mr E. W McCallum) today. “What has happened is what we feared would happen,” he said.
“It is in line with what the Government said would happen. If price drops get out of control, the purpose of the quota system will be defeated •nd we shall be back to where we were before.”
