Further Fall To £684.2m (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY, April 27. The Reserve Bank’s holdings of gold and foreign exchange fell again in the week to April 21, the bank said in a statement today. A drop of £4.lm brought these funds to £684.2m or £92.9m below the level at the same time last year. At this time in 1964, overseas funds were rising sharply to a peak £807.8m, which was reached on May 27. Since a continuing decline set in at the beginning of March, the Reserve Bank’s holding of overseas reserves has fallen from £747.7m. The latest fall of £4.lm is after a modest £l.6m in the previous week.
