LIQUOR IN VICTORIA
Second Report To Be Tabled (N.Z Press Assn. —Copyright) MELBOURNE. April 27 The second report by the Liquor Roval Commissioner. Mr P. D. Phillips, Q.C., will be tabled in the State Parliament late today. The main recommendation is likely to he 10 p.m. closing of hotel bars. The report will also cover drinking at universities, at live theatres, whether diners should be able to take liquor to unlicensed restaurants, liquor at motels, and hours for drinking at restaurants and nieht clubs. Mr Phillips will also report on Sunday trading, variation of trading hours, special or late permits, and lodgers’ cupboards. Sweeping changes are expected, as. in an earlier report. Mr Phillips said later drinking hours were not likely to lead to more drinking, drunkenness, or traffic accidents.
