LLANMAI SPELLED
Not Running In Cup

Llanmai is to miss his engagements over Easter. The Llanstephan gelding jarred himself and his Wingatui trainer, D. P. Wilson, has put him aside for a light spell. Llanmai was placed in his last two starts at the Wellington and Manawatu meetings and he would have been a well supported candidate for the Riverton Cup. His usual rider, J. R. Dowling, will now have the mount on Golden Glen in the Riverton £l5OO feature race.
The promising Wingatui galloper, Lisa, is to miss her engagement in the Aparima Handicap, the second leg of the Riverton Racing Club’s double, and she will go to Riccarton for the Warstep Stakes on Monday. She will be ridden by R. J. Skelton.
