Two of the leading contenders for the All Black fullback position, vacant on the retirement of D. B. Clarke, will clash in the Wasps-Harle-quins game at Rotorua on Sunday. M. P. Williment (Wellington), who filled in for Clarke last season in one test against Australia, and M. A. Herewini (Auckland) will oppose each other.
Williment will play for the Wasps, a Bay of Plenty-based club, and Herewini for the Harlequins, of Waikato. It is understood that Mr F. R. Allen (Auckland), an All Black selector, will watch the match.
