It beat West Bromwich Albion away, while Chelsea was losing to West Ham United. Leeds’s other rival for the league championship. Manchester United, also won, and the position at the top. with five matches to play, is Leeds 5b points. Chelsea and Manchester United 53. Leeds has already qualified for the final of the F.A. Cup. in which it meets Liverpool. Results:— Division One.—Aston Villa 3. Birmingham (I: Everton 2. Liverpool 1: Manchester United 1. Leicester 0: West Ham 3. Chelsea 2: West Bromwich 1, Leeds t. Division Three.—Shrewsbury 3. Queen's Park Rangers 2.
