TUITION AT BURNSIDE
8.30 a.m. Start
Approved
School wil start at 8.30 a.m. every day from next term for pupils attending Burnside High School. The day will end 15 minutes earlier, at 3.15 p.m. The principal (Mr C. Cross) was given approval to start 10 minutes earlier in the mornings by a meeting of the school’s board of governors last evening. The change will raise the number of weekly periods by one to 36, and all periods will last 40 minutes, including those on sports days.
Mr Cross said the new arrangements would make it easier for after-school practices and would enable the school to fulfill more efficiently the requirements of the Education Department regarding physical education.
