GRASSMERE SALT
Harvest Now Record .Solar salt harvested at Lake Grassmere. in Marlborough, so far this year is a record — more than 26,000 tons—and, if the weather holds, Dominion Salt. Ltd., hopes to get 30.000 tons. The previous best harvest was 22.000 tons.
When harvesting began about seven weeks ago the company estimated that up to 34,000 tons of salt was available, and that given fine weather most of this could be harvested.
