POLLS ON HOURS
No Decision Yet (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 12. The Government has not yet made a decision on whether to adopt a suggestion made during the last Parliamentary session for local polls to be held on hotel licensing hours. The Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) said tonight: “It will most likely be given fairly close study before the next session of Parliament."
Mr Holyoake had been asked if the Government had made any decision on a proposal put forward by the Parliamentary petitions committee recommending local polls be held on whether licensing hours should be extended.
