Trans-Pacific Solo Bid

HONOLULU, April 12. The Australian pilot, Miss Rosalind Merrifield, arrived in Honolulu last night from San Francisco after the first leg of her trans-Pacific solo flight. Miss Merrifield, aged 27. of Sydney, is trying to become the first Australian woman to accomplish the feat. Poor weather postponed the start of her flight for two days. She was relaxed and fresh when she stepped from her twin-engine Piper Aztec aircraft at Honolulu International Airport. The 2100mile trip from San Francisco took 14bi and 15min.
