i Three Liners At Auckland (N Z Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 12. Three liners brought 2222 passengers into Auckland ! to-day. The Oriana arrived from London, via Sydney, with 1826, 580 disembarking here. The ship took on 570 passengers before sailing for Suva at 11 p.m. The Oriental Queen, brought 143 passengers from Suva, of whom 100 disembarked. About 300 joined the ship before she left for Sydney at 4 p.m. The Monterey arrived from the United States with 253 passengers. About 90 disembarked in Auckland, and 70 had embarked when she left for Sydney, at 7 p.m. A Customs launch, carrying 35 Customs officers, and about 50 other officials met the three liners in the stream, shortly after 6 a.m. Harbour Board officials also had two cargo ships to berth before 8 a.m.
