Otago Game Accepted

Otago has accepted Canterbury’s invitation to play a trial soccer match in Christchurch on Sunday, April 4. Both provinces are involved in first round matches of the £lO,OOO international tournament on Easter Saturday (April 17), Canterbury playing New Caledonia at English Park and Otago meeting Queensland in Dunedin. To enable both teams to complete its preparations under full match-play conditions, the Canterbury F_A. chairman (Mr J. Smith) proposed a match against Otago, and this has been accepted. The game will probably be played at Rangers Park in McGregors road.
