Man, Wife Die In Tanker Collision
Three, including a man and his wife, were killed in road accidents at the week-end and a bulldozer driver died when his machine rolled on him.
A man and his wife were killed near Waihi yesterday when their car was involved in a collision with a milk tanker, according to the Press Association.

Their 18-year-old son, Stuart Bridge, and another passenger in the car, Mrs T. Newman, of Waipaoa, near Gisborne, were both seriously injured and admitted to Waihi Hospital. The tanker driver, Raymond Cyril Furniss, aged 23, of 60 Whittaker street, Te Aroha, was treated for injuries at the scene of the accident, but was not admitted to hospital. The accident occurred at 12.10 p.m. on the intersection of Old Tauranga and Woodlands roads, near the entrance to the Waihi golf course.
