WELLINGTON, February 22. Chemical Materials, Ltd., Sydney, increased its sales in the half-year to December on the same period in 1963. However, higher costs and the absorption of further developmental expenses lowered net profit. Trading since December has been good report directors who consider profits for the year to June will be satisfactory. Only a minor portion of operations was affected by the fire at the Glebe premises on February 17. Damage was fully covered by insurance.
C. Neon Sales Maintained
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY, Feb. 22. Claude Neon Industries, Ltd., manufacturer of neon signs and fluorescent lighting, reported that sales and production for the half-year to December 31, 1964, had been maintained. They were greater than those obtained in the same period of the previous year. Consolidated Neon Ltd, also reported a satisfactory half-year to December 31, 1964.
