Club Rescinds “Truth” Ban (N.Z. Press Association! HAMILTON. A resolution passed by the Rotorua and Bay of Plenty Racing Clubs to withdraw all press privileges from the staff of “New Zealand Truth’’ has been rescinded. This was announced in the press room at the Te Rapa racecourse on Saturday by the chairman of the Waikato district committee, Mr P. G. Vercoe. The words to which the Rotorua and Bay of Plenty clubs took exception appeared in "Truth" this week. The heading on the article referred to the clubs as “squealers." Mr Vercoe, who was accompanied to the press room by Messrs T. Harvey, of the Bay of Plenty club, and G. Young, the president of the Rotorua Racing Club, said he was happy to say the resolution had been rescinded. “The matter has been completely dropped and we would like to hear no more about it,” he said.
