Two Burglars Sentenced

Two Australian brothers who appeared in the Supreme Court yesterday before Mr Justice Macarthur for sentence for a series of burglaries were each sentenced to three years’ imprisonment. A jury on February 9 found Leslie Norman Glew, aged 32, a labourer (Mr N. G. Hattawav) and Ronald James ! Glew, aged 26, a labourer (Mr R J. Allan) guilty on five | counts of burglary in which :each had been charged jointly. R. J. Glew was found guilty on a separate charge of burglary, and L. N. Glew was found guilty on a charge of entering with intent to commit a crime. Each was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment on each count, the terms to be concurrent. Mr C. M. Roper appeared for the Crown.
