Gold Diggers
Optimism is obviously one of the virtues of members of the Christchurch Tramping Club. As a variation from its regular tramping and climbing trips the club has organised, for a week-end later this month, a gold prospecting trip into an isolated river valley in North Westland. Appended to a club circular giving details of the trip is the comment: “All proceeds to the club hut-building fund.”
