Mirror Fancied For Gore Event

INVERCARGILL. Mirror In the Gore Racing Club Handicap, and Flying Trlx In the Croydon Handicap, will be a strongly fancied double combination on the opening of the Gore club's summer meeting tomorrow. Mirror has yet to win a race this season but she has run some worth-while placlngs and looks ready to come into her own over a middle distance. In an interesting field she could get most opposition from the recently promoted hack. Sometime, with Beginner's Luck and Granton also likely to be In it. The second leg. the Croydon Handicap, has not drawn a strong sprint field, but they are an even lot and the issue looks wide open. The weather has been fine and the track will be in fast order.
