The half sister to Kingship Is noted as a poor track galloper, but she is a different proposition on race day. With two wins and a third in her last three races, the Faux Tlrage mare will be one of the favourites tomorrow when she will be ridden by the stable apprentice, M. J. Turnbull. Working on the plough, Panther <M. J. Skelton) drew clear of Lisa (Turnbull) at the end of five furlongs in Imln 5 4-Ssec, the first two furlongs In 28sec. Woodella (S. Ryder), a form runner in the Eastern Hack Handicap, showed his fitness by sprinting home the Isst furlong on the Inside crass in 38sec. The Underwood gelding hss been running sound rsces and will be suited by the small field tomorrow. On the course proper, next to the rails, Khalrutan showed speed to run half s mils in 52sec with R. Pledger tn the saddle. The Magic Carpet filly Is due to have her first start tor the season In the Trial Stakes. Grey Flash (M. J. Skelton) gave her stablemats, Nipon <A. Guy), two lengths start and bridged tbe gap to a length at the end of three furlongs In 38s ec. Hot Foot (Croydon Hendlcep) and Pease (Balfour Junior Hack) will not make the trip to Gore. Aquinaa (Gore Racing Club Handicap) and Tara Hill (Summer Hlgh-welght) are doubtful runners, and Bell Count will miss the Summer Hlgh-welght unless a suitable rider la available.
