JAPANESE TO VISIT
Six Arrive Today A party of six Japanese businessmen would arrive in Christchurch by air from Wellington today on a four-day informal visit, the secretary of the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce (Mr P. L. Bush) said yesterday. The Japanese, he said, were all members of the International Division of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce. The party leader was a Mr Satow. Mr Bush said the Japanese party would call on the Chamber of Commerce this afternoon. On Tuesday, they would leave by air for Auckland. The Japanese businessmen he said, had already visited Australia.
Small Roll Increase.—The 1965 roll at Christchurch Boys’ High School has an increase of four above that of the 1964 roll. There were 1043 boys attending classes, the headmaster (Mr C. S. F. Caldwell) told members of the school’s board of governors.
