50 YEARS’ SERVICE

Mr H. V. Bush Retires

Mr H. V. Bush, manager of the shipping department of the New Zealand Refrigerating Company, Ltd., retired at the end of December when he had completed 50 years with the company. He joined the Timaru office in 1915 and was transferred to the head office in Christchurch in 1923, when he joined the shipping department. He was appointed manager of the department in 1951. His name was known all over the world wherever the company has dealings, for his signature appeared on the shipping forms. At a farewell function Mr Bush received a presentation from the chairman of directors (Mr C. S. Peate) and another from fellow employees of the company. Mr Bush will continue to live in Christchurch in retirement. His successor is Mr J. G. Benson.
