55 Bankrupts Last Year
The Official Assignee in Christchurch last year dealt with 55 bankruptcies, one company liquidation, one estate administration under section four of the Bankruptcy Act, and one order to wind up an incorporated society. Comparable bankruptcy figures are: 1963, 58; 1962, 56; 1961, 45; and 1960, 30. There were three company liquidations' in 1963 and four in 1962.
