Richter, a representative technician for a German factory producing fish processing machinery, said he had found the fishing industry was developing in New Zealand—but as far as he could determine there was little exporting of New Zea-land-caught fish. “In Germany we have our coastal fisheries—but these do not catch much in relation to the whole quantity of landed fish,” he said.
