Girl In School Party Drowns

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, December 16. ■ A 10-year-old girl missed from a swimming party at Kaiaua Beach today was found drowned a few minutes later at 1.15 pm. She was Christine Anne Mark, daugter of Mr and Mrs R. R. Marx, of George street, Tuakau. Christine was among 54 children from Tuakau Primary School visiting Kaiaua with two teachers. The children were coming ashore when her absence was noticed. Several senior pupils returned to help her but mouth-to-mouth resuscitation efforts on shore were in vain.
